Rothesay Hive

NOTICE: Rothesay Hive is temporarily closed until further notice due to Zone 2 being in the Orange Phase.

The town of Rothesay has re-opened the Rothesay Hive at a limited capacity to meet all requirements from Public Health. During this time, the town of Rothesay will be facilitating the operations of the Rothesay Hive. Please have your Rothesay Hive Membership information transferred from the YMCA should you wish to be contacted about the re-opening and return of programs. Community Face Masks are mandatory to enter the Rothesay Hive.

Rothesay Hive’s Mission Winter Storm Policy
To be a gathering place to nurture the health and well-being of adults (50+) through a hub of activities that focus on socialization, connection, health and wellness, intergenerational programming, lifelong learning and outreach. To ensure the safety of the members during the winter months, when schools are closed due to a storm, the Rothesay Hive will delay opening until noon. A decision for the rest of the day and evening will be made by noon.

Programs will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 9:30am until 2:00pm. Only members who are pre-registered for the scheduled program are permitted to visit during operating hours. The Hive will be open 30 minutes prior to program start time for check-in. As well, a socialization opportunity will follow all programming. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, programs are on a first come first serve basis to Rothesay Hive Members. All members must pre-register for programs at least 48 hours in advance by phone or email. Include your name, program title, date, and time in the body of the email. There will be no drop-in programming at this time. Fitness programs cost $5.00, please bring exact change.

Location & Accessibility Parking
The Rothesay Hive is located on 70 Hampton Road, Rothesay NB and contained within the Rothesay Town Hall. The Rothesay Hive is an accessible space that is situated on the main level of the building to the right of the main entrance of the Rothesay Town Hall with accessible doors. Free parking is available adjacent to the Rothesay Hive with overflow parking available across the street with a well-marked cross walk to allow members to safely cross the street.
