RICC Campaign Board Introduced and Founding Partners Announced at Mayor’s Tree Lighting

December 10, 2025

The town of Rothesay celebrated an important milestone last night during the annual Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, unveiling the volunteer leaders behind the Rothesay Intergenerational Community Complex (RICC) Community Fundraising Campaign and announcing the project’s first Founding Partners.

The newly introduced RICC Fundraising Campaign Board is made up of dedicated community members bringing leadership, expertise, and passion to the project. Board members include:
Miriam Wells, Dr. Steven Bryniak, Keith Dunphy, Kim Beaton, Sean Creary, Mark Hatfield, Sean O’Neill, Scott Nelson, Mayor Dr. Nancy Grant, Councillor Helen Boyle, and Councillor Tiffany Mackay French.

The campaign is co-chaired by Mary Ann and Jamie Gallagher, who were recognized for their energy and commitment to advancing the RICC vision.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the project’s first Founding Partners: Mayor Dr. Nancy Grant and Dr. Steven Bryniak, whose transformative gifts mark a significant step forward for the campaign. Their contributions reflect a shared belief in creating a facility that will support recreation, connection, and wellness for generations.

Rothesay also acknowledged the many individuals, families, businesses, and groups whose early support has helped build momentum — from dedication item purchases to participation in community fundraisers such as the McDonald’s Extra Value Meal weekend, RHS Hockey Tournament, and Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign.

With the Founding Partner gifts added to previously raised community donations, the RICC Campaign has now reached $349,000.

This marks an exciting beginning for a project designed to bring all ages and abilities together in one inclusive, intergenerational space. The Town extends its thanks to everyone contributing to this vision.

“We are just getting started — and we are building something extraordinary, together.” – Keri Flood, RICC Campaign Coordinator
