Remembrance Day Information Regarding Ceremonies

The annual Kennebecasis Valley Remembrance Day ceremony at the qplex has been cancelled for 2021.

An informal, volunteer-led Remembrance Day Ceremony will be taking place at the Cenotaph on the Rothesay Common on Thursday, November 11th beginning at 10:45am. All participants must follow the current Public Health guidelines for Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Circuit Breaker Zones – outdoor ceremonies are permitted with physical distancing of 2 metres between people who do not reside together in the same household. There will be a smaller ceremony in the parking lot at the Kennebecasis Legion at 61 Marr Road in Rothesay. All Veterans are encouraged to attend. Invited guests only due to covid restrictions currently in place.

We encourage you to honour Remembrance Day and our veterans by wearing a poppy, taking two minutes of silence at the 11th hour and observing the National Remembrance Day Ceremony being hosted online by the Royal Canadian Legion – National Headquarters, you can find more information here: www.legion.ca/remembrance/remembrance-day/the-national-ceremony.
