Capital Investment Announced for Intergenerational Community Complex in Rothesay, NB
Jan. 14, 2026
ROTHESAY (GNB) – The government is investing $6 million in the construction of a new intergenerational community complex in Rothesay.
“We are investing in what matters to New Brunswickers,” said Premier Susan Holt. “This project will provide a modern, inclusive facility that offers opportunities for recreation, physical activity and connection. By investing in community infrastructure like this, we are strengthening communities and supporting a healthier, more active future for everyone.”
The multi-purpose complex will include a walking track and will incorporate the existing Rothesay Arena, which is being renovated.
“This complex will be a centrepiece that will help bring our community together for decades to come,” said Alyson Townsend, the MLA for Rothesay and minister responsible for labour. “From day one we have been working diligently to make this project a reality, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with this key investment in the town of Rothesay and our region as a whole.”
“We are so grateful for this significant investment toward our vision of a ‘community hub’; an inclusive space which will serve residents of all ages and all stages of life,” said Rothesay Mayor Nancy Grant.
