Artist Biography
Darlene Baker is a visual artist, living and working in Rothesay, New Brunswick. Born and raised in rural Prince Edward Island, Darlene has enjoyed creativity since she was a child. Painting in oils since 2015, she recently completed her first year in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program at Mount Allison University. Inspired by beauty in many forms, she creates art in an attempt to illuminate present moment awareness as a path to the evolution of consciousness. Her subjects include landscapes, beach scenes, florals, portraits, and social scenes, where many people are sharing in the joy of living. Darlene’s series Millennial Mom: I Have a Problem with Fantasy addressed midlife disillusionment and was exhibited in Saint John, Fredericton, and Moncton in 2018-2019.
