Building Community for Generations: The Murphy Family’s RICC Legacy

We are proud to recognize D’Arcy and Barb Murphy and their family for their extraordinary Founding Partner gift in support of the Rothesay Intergenerational Community Complex (RICC).

As owners and operators of several local Tim Hortons restaurants, Barb and D’Arcy have long understood the importance of community. Their businesses have been supported by generations of local families, and they have always believed in giving back through volunteerism, philanthropy, and community leadership.

Their impact can be felt throughout the region. Barb has been a passionate advocate for growing women’s hockey in the Kennebecasis Valley, helping create opportunities for athletes and fostering a lifelong love of sport. D’Arcy has also been deeply involved in the hockey community through coaching, volunteering, and supporting young athletes. Together, they have spent countless hours at local arenas cheering on their children in hockey and figure skating, and today they proudly watch their grandchildren continue those same traditions.

Beyond recreation, the Murphy family has generously supported numerous community initiatives and charitable causes over the years. They believe that giving back helps build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community—a value that aligns perfectly with the vision of the RICC.

Their gift is a true reflection of what this project is all about: creating a place where generations come together to play, connect, and thrive. From grandparents to grandchildren, the Murphy family’s story embodies the intergenerational spirit that will be at the heart of the RICC for years to come.

Thank you, D’Arcy, Barb, and family, for your generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our community. Your legacy will help create opportunities and memories for generations to come.
