The town of Rothesay’s social media sites are periodically monitored during business hours only, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, excluding Holidays. However, in the event of an emergency, the sites may be monitored outside of regular business hours as required.


  • The town of Rothesay’s social media sites are intended for information purposes only.
  • Messages received on Rothesay social media sites will be answered within one business day.
  • Emergency Service is available 24/7 by calling: (506) 848-6600. Social media sites are not monitored 24/7 and therefore, are not the appropriate forum to report emergency or time-sensitive issues.

We reserve the right to remove any content that you post on our social media sites, and to remove, edit or move, at any time, any content posted which does not comply with these Terms of Use or for any other appropriate reason.

Keep information relevant: We encourage thoughtful comments that are related to the post. Users who post content that is unrelated to the topic and/or discussion may have their content removed and/or blocked from our social media sites. Spam or misleading content will be removed and the user may be removed and/or blocked from future use of Rothesay’s social media sites.

Be respectful: Rothesay reserves the right to hide or remove any comments that are abusive, defamatory, offensive, inappropriate, or disrespectful. Users who cause conflict or offence to others, or use offensive language may be removed and/or blocked from our social media sites.

Rothesay supports an inclusive, diverse and respectful work environment, free of discrimination and harassment. Town of Rothesay employees moderate our social media sites and their contents. Any conduct that is discriminatory or harassing will be removed and the user may be removed and/or blocked from future use of Rothesay’s social media sites.

Shared information: Any “like”, “share”, or “retweet” or other link posted for informational purposes should not be taken as a formal endorsement or an approval on behalf of the town of Rothesay.
