Wells Community Centre Project Updates

Council confirmed their support for the schematic design proposal of the new Wells Community Centre project at the June 13th, 2022 Council meeting. Rothesay secured funding from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the New Brunswick Regional Development Corporation to help make this community building a reality.
The schematic design work by Acre Architects is now complete and a building design of 2,600 square feet with a terrace of 1,150 square feet has been developed. The building will include community event space, a residential kitchen, public park washrooms and a covered canopy for outdoor gatherings.
Current Project Status:
Construction of the Wells Community Centre began in Fall 2022 with an expected completion date in 2023.
