Earth Day Community Clean Up 2026
Earth Day Community Clean-Up: THINK GREEN, KEEP IT CLEAN
We invite schools, businesses, community groups, and residents in Rothesay to join the race to make the world a better place! Rothesay is hosting a community clean-up from Saturday, April 18th to Wednesday, April 22nd. Get your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbours involved and help make a difference!
Gloves and garbage bags are available for community members to use to clean up litter in our parks, trails, and green spaces. You can pick up your gloves and garbage bags at Rothesay Town Hall during regular business hours (Monday to Friday between 8am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm) from April 17th-22nd. We have partnered with JTR Services to have a dumpster at the Rothesay Arena Parking lot for you to drop off collected garbage.
If you’d like some direction on where to clean up, we have noticed an increased amount of trash in the following areas:
- Beginning of Oakville Acres (near subway)
- Scribner Crescent
- Bi-Centennial Ballfield parking lot to Dolan Road
- Airport Arterial – Both sides
- Campbell Drive from Canadian Tire to the Fire Station
- Cul-de-Sac at the top of Grove Avenue (close to McKay Hwy)
- Rothesay High School and Rothesay Arena Parking Lots (close to Scott Avenue)
- Bill McGuire Centre Parking lot – tennis courts
- Renforth Park and Beach area
- Top of Fox Farm Road at Hwy off-ramp (gravel parking area)
- Along Rothesay Road (the side closest to the train tracks) from KPark to Villa Madonna
- Sierra Avenue
- Millennium Drive from Kent Building Supplies to Donlyn Drive
