DESCRIPTION:Solid Waste Pick-Up – Monday\, May 11th\, 2026\n\nAll items must be placed curbside by 7:00am on Monday regardless of your scheduled pick-up day.\nItems must be tied in manageable bundles\, weighing no more than 40lbs.\n🚫NOT ACCEPTED: Junked car parts or batteries\, appliances\, televisions\, tires\, paints/solvents\, hazardous waste\, containers from hazardous products and other similar items will NOT be accepted.\n\nOrganic Waste Pick-Up – Monday\, May 18th\, 2026\n\nThe Pick-up will begin on Monday\, May 18\, even though it is a holiday.\nAll items must be placed curbside by 7:00am on Monday regardless of your scheduled pick-up day.\nLeaves\, grass clippings\, & bundled twigs with twine no longer than 4ft and weighing no more than 40lbs. No trees larger than 4 inches in diameter.\nResidents are required to use brown paper bags for yard waste.\n🚫Yard waste in plastic bags (clear\, black or any colour) will NOT be collected.\n🚫Please DO NOT use your compost cart for this pick-up.

SUMMARY:RHS Relay For Life Family Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Rothesay High School is proud to host its very first Relay For Life event—a meaningful and inspiring day dedicated to coming together in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life is a community celebration that honours survivors\, remembers loved ones\, and supports those currently facing cancer\, all while raising vital funds for life-saving research and support programs.\nParticipants will be walking the track together throughout the day\, symbolizing the ongoing journey of those affected by cancer and showing that no one faces it alone. \nThis year\, our goal is to raise $10\,000 in support of the Canadian Cancer Society\, helping to fund groundbreaking research\, patient services\, and advocacy efforts across the country.\nThe event will be filled with energy\, hope\, and plenty of fun for all ages. Families can enjoy a wide range of activities including bouncy castles\, face painting\, water games\, and more\, making it a day that brings the whole community together for an important cause. \nParticipants are required to register in advance through the event website\, so be sure to sign up and secure your spot. A registration fee of $20 will be required of every participant which covers meals\, snacks\, beverages\, and a t-shirt. Additionally\, we encourage every team to fundraise an additional $100 to help us secure our goal. \nJoin us and create your relay team as we take our first steps as a community in this powerful movement—celebrating strength\, supporting one another\, and making a difference.\nFollow us @rhsrelayforlife on Instagram from updates! \n  \nIn case of rain\, the event will be held at the Rothesay High School Gym\, at 61 Hampton Road.
